ANANTA Downtown: player post shows a Nova City night market, manga store and rooftop basketball
A player post on the Chinese gaming portal 4399 gives a first look at Downtown, a district of Nova City in ANANTA. Published on November 2, 2026 under the label “location introduction”, it describes Downtown as a local favorite and shows five spots with in-game screenshots: a night market, a bookstore with a manga section, a hot dog mascot, the Nova City Metro and a rooftop basketball court.
Update, November 6, 2026: NetEase’s official website now presents this district as Downtown (城中区 in Chinese), with the same description as the player post, so the district is official. The specific shops and spots below still come from the player’s screenshots.
What is Downtown in ANANTA?
On the official website the district is called Downtown in English and 城中区 in Chinese (the player post wrote 中城区). It is part of Nova City (新启 in Chinese), the coastal metropolis where the Captain arrives at the start of the story. One of the screenshots confirms it: the station sign reads “新启城铁 NOVA CITY METRO”.
The post presents Downtown as a place for slow sunny afternoons and for catching up with old friends, with plenty of destinations even for visitors. It also describes the local mood in a way that fits ANANTA’s social media theme: in Downtown, strangers all seem to look the same way, toward the brightest screen, the priciest shop and the longest queue.
The Nova City Metro between the towers
Downtown looks like a fast-growing business district, with elevated trains running between the skyscrapers. The screenshot shows a Nova City Metro station on a raised track above a busy crossroads. The subway was already confirmed as one of the ways to get around in ANANTA, and Downtown shows how it fits into the city.
A suspicious hot dog mascot
The post’s most playful moment is a “suspicious person” in a hot dog costume, standing on a seaside boardwalk next to a food truck and chanting a jingle about carefree, worry-free hot dogs. The brand’s Chinese name is 洛格斯热狗, roughly “Logos Hot Dog”, but its English name is not confirmed. It is the kind of street detail that makes ANANTA’s city feel lived in.
A bookstore with a manga corner
Downtown has a bright bookstore with shelves of manga and life-size character standees. According to the post, the manga section is the best part, and new volumes have just come out. In the screenshot, a “new release” display promotes a soccer manga.
A night market full of street food
After dark, Downtown has a night market: a street lit by paper lanterns, lined with food stalls, signs and outdoor tables. The post recommends it for an evening walk and some snacks. Food is already part of ANANTA’s city life, and our list of activities includes restaurants and other places to eat.
Rooftop basketball after work
The last stop is a basketball court on top of a building, surrounded by a high fence and looking over the rooftops at sunset. The post suggests it as the place to unwind after work. Basketball was already confirmed as one of ANANTA’s activities.
